Monday 30 September and Tuesday 1 October 2013: Days 10 and 11 in the Philippines

On Monday I spent the day at the Spa.  I took the opportunity to walk around a little without anybody escorting or guiding me.  It was a good experience.  I noticed most people tended to not pay attention to me, which is different, because when there is family around, for some reason people tend to be alert to my presence, much to Suyen's displeasure.

Compostela, Cebu

We went to Compostela to give the "Guard Dogs" some vittles.

Then we visited Suyen's Cousin, Ayee.

Edgar wants to talk about what is going on in America, which is the first time we heard about the government shut down.

Hugs goodbye.
We then went up to Danao City to Pick up Mina and to visit Suyen's brother and family...
While there, we bought bread and some food for ourselves and for some kids who were there begging....

Weston, Missouri

Not all people get into watching football on such a nice day.  We decided to take a little road trip to the historic town of Weston, Missouri and lunch at O'Malley's Brew Pub.

Unfortunately, on the way back home, we were stopped in traffic on 169 in the northbound lanes by the Wheeler downtown airport by a traffic crash.  It looked like a Mustang and a Thunderbird tangled it up.  Scanner traffic indicated one woman was sent to the hospital with seatbelt lacerations.  It also looked and sounded like investigators were looking into the causes of the crash being related to alcohol.
