20240429 Monday The Night Shift- this morning‘s live shot had technical difficulties as I could not release the big boy camera from its cradle in the car. So, I had to use the Z190. It seems to work fine. Anyways, I like it better! We also had a house person, walking around checking out our stuff making me a bit paranoid. I have jury duty today. I got lucky my name was not called. I went ahead and took the doggies for a walk.
20240430 Tuesday The Night Shift - I shoot the story on in our live shot is about about the movement of the Pershing Street switch for the streetcar. There is a really bad fatality crash down at 140th and I 49 in Grandview.

20240501 Wednesday The Night Shift : I look for a different spot to listen to the scanner. Today seems to be about trains. I go to Parkville Missouri. We are live in Lenexa at the La Quinta. I still don’t know what La Quinta is Spanish for. Friend of mine that La Quinta is next to Denny’s. after week I return to Parkville with the dogs. The weather is very pleasant. We go to the bark park, walk around Parkville, and. Again, it’s all about the trains.

20240416 Eye Doctor and Stormy Weather

20240417 Wednesday The Night Shift - this night shift started off with a four-year-old shot. It turns out that the shooting was accidental self-inflicted. The evening was uneventful. I did not have a reporter. I was heading back in, and I noticed that there was a shooting that turned out to be a double shooting at 300 block of Wabash in Kansas City, Missouri. I finished my shift by having coffee and a chorizo burrito at Café Corazon.

20240418 Thursday the Night Shift

20240419 Friday The Night Shift: after an uneventful evening for once, we are live at Christa McAuliffe elementary school in Lenexa. There is a community garden there named in honor of a student who passed away after being hit by a drunk driver. I round out my week by having a hot drink and a third space.
