The Outhouse -- 4 1/2 miles east of Mass Lawrence, Kansas
A good friend of mine is dumping his video archives on Youtube. I didn't know these videos even existed. Chrometuna, aka boB Cutler was involved in the Outhouse from the beginning, and it is good for all us old farts that he brought some of this stuff back to life, if at least on magnetic particles on plastic tape, and now in cyberspace. I hope he doesn't mind if I embed some of his videos here...
GWAR
SNFU
boB even crosslinked my stuff, which I will embed here...

Grandview, Missouri
I lived there off and on for 23 years. In 2000, I started a walking routine and pretty much settled on a path which I like to take every so often. Grandview is a working class town on the south side of the Metro.
The line of the former Frisco passes through Grandview still, though I think it is used as a spur for the Kansas City Southern.
Downtown
The corner bar is open on Thanksgiving Day
Downtown is trying to reinvent itself.
Stretch Sculpture outside city hall. I'm finding I really like Stretch's stuff.
Grandview Baptist Church
When I used to walk here in 2000, this used to be a bus station.
1950's era post office with googie details
Those damn red light cameras are here too
Cy Young building with googie sign
The neon could use some work
Do-Nuts in the Cy Young building
The Cuckert building used to be a vacuum shop that also sold second hand mowers
I used to buy dog food here
Tima seems a bit overdressed, but it was really cold today
I don't know what the hell this is
Kansas City Southern main line through Grandview
My favorite Model railroad store, though I haven't been here in awhile
Erica's Psychic studio -- I've never seen Erica
I love the googie front end grafted on this old house
Mid-century modern school building
City Hall
This was moved to city hall from the tracks
Old faded buzz saw eagle
TJ's cafe. I've eaten here a few times.
Waffle House, I've eaten here many times
I was able to catch the trains on the KCS
Tima in her winter jackets and booties
I was having a conversation a few days ago about graffiti art and the rolling canvas we see every day on the rails. So, while I waited for this train to pass, I checked out the roll by gallery.
Another view of Tima and our sick cat, Jack.
