A tail of Two Dogs

I don't normally do this buuuut....
I am moved to express my opinion on a situation involving two of my friends.  It is a situation that clearly, in my, and their opinion, clearly illustrates what is disfunctional about the city of Kansas City, Missouri.  It shows clearly that the law is not enforced equally for all people.  See, a little while ago, my friend Jeff, called animal control for the first time ever, because three of his next door neighbors dogs got loose, two of them pitbulls, and proceeded to intimidate my friend in his own yard, on his own property, to the point that he felt that he needed to grab a weapon and defend himself.  I don't know if you, my few dear readers, have ever been threatened or attacked by a dog, but let me tell you from personal experience, it is a traumatic and horrifying experience.  I love dogs.  I love cats.  However, I do respect that any animal, if it his a mind to, can tap into its wild side and do some damage, and that has to be respected.  If you take a breed, such as a pitbull, however, that has been bred to attack and to fight, and that dog is staring you down, you would tend to loose your cool.  That is exactly what my friend, Jeff did.  I can comfortably sit and say, yes, do not do that, it will only lead to bad things.  I was not the one staring down the pitbull.  I am not the one living next to the dogs dealing with the fear of stepping into my own yard.  So I reserve judgement.  On animal controls side, I know that they have a lot to do with a small budget, a big city and a resentful public.  I know that on many occasions, I am sure, they do not see the best of humanity.  That will leave a person jaded.  So, I hope I do not overstep my friendship with Jeff and Jessica, and in the tradition of this blog to let the parties speak for themselves, I will embed Jeff's videos.  I will start with the latest one.  The latest one is of his chickens being confiscated by animal control, for, well, seemingly, reporting his neighbors pitbulls.  Enjoy, and judge for yourselves...
