Daytripping Warrensburg Missouri -- My annual Christmas Trip

Every year, as a sentimental favorite, I try to make it to Warrensburg in December to shop at one of my favorite places.  This year was no different as I got some gift baskets and said Hi to Julie.  We made it a little late, just as she was closing, but we got in and then walked around to see some of the small town Christmas on display downtown.

I've heard or read somewhere that this building was the busiest Mule exchange during World War I, and that is why Missouri is famous for it's mules and why the university here uses the Mule as it's mascot.





We found a cozy little out of the way pub to have some burgers.   There was even a real fireplace going in the bar.

I inherited the family car, that was a lot like this one.  I drove it until 1989.  This one is a Ford Torino Elite.  I drove a 1974 Ford Gran Torino.  It was an underpowered gas hog.  I called it the Torinosaurus Wreck.  This car was parked out in front of Cafe Blackadder and seems to be in good shape for its age.  Julie Kendall that this car was da' bomb.  I just thought it was a bomb.






On the way back into the city, we stopped off at Benetti's Coffee Experience in Raytown.
