20231017 Tuesday The Night Shift -Not much Happening which is the trend for the week. I go have tea and wait for a call which came in the form of a house fire in the northland.

20231018 Wednesday The Night Shift- A terrible bump at Blue River Road and 87th nearly rips the suspension of my car out. There is an apartment Fire that involves the Pet Connection in Raytown. A bad injury crash on SB 71 south of Bannister road is in a really terrible spot so I have to use my Osmo Pocket and Garmin Dashcam to get it on. drive-by. We have beautiful sunrise views of the downtown skyline from the Summit overpass as we talk about inner-City youth soccer fields being renovated. We have our blood drawn for lab work and end our fast at Corner Cafe. Today is a busy day as we have appointments all day mostly for the kid. A little time between appointments allows us to check out some stores in Lee’s Summit. Our final stop of the day is for parent teacher conferences.
20231019 Thursday The Night Shift - Live for an arraignment. A suspect is apprehended in Roeland Park. The battle of Westport anniversary is this weekend. It is time to go ghost hunting. Cawfee at the Rochester in the Crossroads.
20231019 Art Class - We go to art class at Pinot’s Pallet in Leawood to paint a spooky Halloween picture.
20231020 Friday The Night Shift - I nearly run over someone on a bike on my way to a live shot. He was riding his bike in pitch black darkness on US 40 in the middle of a lane with no lights or reflective markers wearing dark clothing. What saved is was the car’s onboard radar technology that slowed the car down. After brekkus at Town Topic I thank my lucky stars that I was using the radar equipped cruise control.
20231021 The Kansas City Vlog- We go ghost hunting on the anniversary of the Battle of Westport.
20231021 Saturday Battle of Westport Ghost Hunt. We walk from the final battle site in loose park to the field hospital at the John Wornal house. The Battle of Westport fought between Union and Confederate forces October 21 through 23 1864. The battle ended with complete victory for the Union. This battle is called the Gettysburg of the west. Legend has it that on the anniversary of the battle ghosts of soldiers can be seen walking from the battlefield to the John Wornall house which was used as a field hospital by both sides.
