Weekly as I pass this route between the Wheeler downtown airport and the BNSF Yards in North Kansas City, I see a train hauling Boeing fueselages and parts. I believe the train originates in Wichita at the Boeing plant there, and is heading up to Washington State.

What locals in Kansas City refer to as the west end is the heart of Kansas City's hispanic community. The food and the people here are authentic. It is also home to the busiest corredor of rail traffic in Kansas City, which is one of the busiest rail hubs in the United States. This is the trackage of the Kansas City Terminal. You see frieght of all the major railroads plus Amtrak. The area is bisected diagonally by Southwest Boulevard which passes right under the Kansas City Terminal tracks which go through KC, past Union Station and on to Santa Fe Junction Interlocking in the West Bottoms. Often when I drive this way, I pass under a train. On this day, I passed at the right time to catch a westbound BNSF double stacker moving quickly.
