20240416 Eye Doctor and Stormy Weather

20240417 Wednesday The Night Shift - this night shift started off with a four-year-old shot. It turns out that the shooting was accidental self-inflicted. The evening was uneventful. I did not have a reporter. I was heading back in, and I noticed that there was a shooting that turned out to be a double shooting at 300 block of Wabash in Kansas City, Missouri. I finished my shift by having coffee and a chorizo burrito at Café Corazon.

20240419 Friday The Night Shift: after an uneventful evening for once, we are live at Christa McAuliffe elementary school in Lenexa. There is a community garden there named in honor of a student who passed away after being hit by a drunk driver. I round out my week by having a hot drink and a third space.
