Some recent discussion on a local online art publication has left people in the art scene in Kansas City taking sides. Recently, I helped my friends, Jessica Logsdon and Jeff Helkenberg move some art to get ready for February's first Friday. In the process we decided to drive around downtown and talk about the controversy and other local politics.
Today started out icy and cold, as Betsi had to be defrosted before moving
Our first thoughts for a daytrip was to go around and take snow pix. The skyline was beautiful at dusk. However, temps in the teens as highs were not too inspiring for a brisk walk.
Some video we livestreamed...
The north end of Bartle Hall looks like it is melting in the snow
Livestreamed video of us driving downtown Kansas City on 12th street.....
Ollie Gates' development at around 12th and Brooklyn
So we picked up Jeff and Jessica and drove to their gallery, the Keyhole in the crossroads. We discussed various subjects, including the current controversy.
