In the spirit of “Laissez les bon temps roules” and in honor of all persons who capture and document the History of Light, The Keyhole Gallery and SVOBODA KC are proud to announce the Creation of a New Benevolent Society: “Camera Krewe Kansas City” (CKKC, Camera Krewe).
Camera Krewe has been designated to host the KC Mardi Gras First Friday Extravaganza, named “The Gatecrasher’s Ball”, to be held First Friday March 4, 2011 at The Keyhole Gallery, 1903 Wyandotte, Kansas City, Missouri. Doors open at 5:30 PM.
Associated with the event, local photographers and videographers will be displaying recent works.
All photographers and media persons are invited to attend The Gatecrasher’s Ball.

On the Thursday evening of the big snow storm, we stopeed our snowchasing to attend the performance of Private vs. Public at the Fishtank Performance Studio.

Due to a huge traffic jam on I-35 Northbound into downtown KCMO, I wasn't able to show up in time to get to the first part of the show or to set up the livestream, so I shot some video and grabbed some screengrabs for stills...
So far, I've uploaded video of the end of the performance. I might be working on the rest soon...
Around the corner at YJ's there is a new jazz jam hosted by Herman Mehari on Thursday nights...
