We headed out on a day that started out cloudy and cool
Downtown KCMO
Gateway to Independence, Missouri on Truman Road
Heading out to pick up Ken, who went with us
Through some wrong turns, we ended up on Independence avenue in Fairmont
There are some really old houses in Independence
Downtown Independence, Missouri
Miles and miles of I-70, across the wide Missouri (state). This is a much better trip in better weather.
We stopped at a rest stop outside of the St. Louis area -- I think it was called Mineola
Suyen, Ken, Tima and Betsi
Back on I-70, and into the shit (traffic that is)
We hit St. Charles as the evening was coming
When I last visited the north end of downtown, this place was still a manufacturer of rail car products
Ken, Suyen and Betsi in downtown St. Charles
The cobblestones are rough on your kidneys when driving in a big assed truck
St. Charles was the first capitol of Missouri...
Tima looks in on us while we went into an art gallery. She was allowed in later
The sidewalks were pretty well rolled up when we got downtown at after five
Ken and Suyen
Downtown St. Charles seems to have a vibrant bar district that comes alive at night.
So I did....
Unlike Kansas City on the west side of the state of Missouri, they DO celebrate Mardi Gras in this area.
First Capitol building
Watch live video from stevosvoboda on Justin.tv Finally... I have my handy dandy google calender with all the upcoming events in the area and beyond...
