On one of our walks in the crossroads arts district in Kansas City, Missouri, we used a new parking garage which gives a great vantage of Union Station and the Pencoyd Bridge from an upper deck.  You can reall see the trains coming from both directions without any view obstructions.

Parkville is always good for train watching right from the park.  If you have a camera that is light enough to carry while walking or running and don't mind the occasional interruption, then this is a great place.  Often I see at least 2 to 3 trains during a session here.  More if I have coffee in town.  The BNSF train crews are really friendly too, as long as you don't get too close.

These showers, though not severe by any means, did play hell with our liveshots as the presense of lightening meant we had to lower our masts and could not do liveshots.  We managed to get our stuff fed for the 10.
