Before Independence and after Kansas City is a never never land called Blue Summit.  Independence has strict ordnances keeping adult type venues and entertainment out, so before you hit the city limits, you are bombarded by a ring of nastiness.  It is sort of like a ring around a bathtub.  This one is on the city limits on Truman road.

And, right at the gateway to Independence, which is the Blue Ridge overpass sits a classy place called Bang -- a romance superstore -- whatever that is.

 I hate the way these new I-70 ramps merge.  I've nearly wrecked not realizing that there is a merge, then a narrowing to one lane, then another merge to get onto I-70.
