Driving to Bantayan Island
Every time we visit the Philippines, we make our way to Suyen's mothers ancestral home, Bantayan Island.  There, in 1999, in her retirement years, Amelita Paradela established a private school and named it after her family, Villacarlos, in order to allow kids who might not have a chance at an education because of transportation costs, to be able to attain an affordable education, and chance at a better life.  In previous years we have shot videos to document the progress of the school...
