Tonight I found out a good friend of mine has been banned from a place I love to go to by the owner. What is the prayer for the banned? I know well the feeling of being not included. I know the sting of being left out. If one transgression can make a person go from being loved to hated, then were they ever really loved? My friends, my family have all sinned. I can only wish they could overlook mine and that I can have the grace to return the favor. By punishing, do we create a greater wrong than the original? What lesson can be had from pushing somebody out of your sight? What growth will be achieved? Is not the law "thou shall not kill?" Is that not my intent when I banish another from my sight? It is not with hatred, but rather sadness that I have to now chose between a comforting setting and habit, and a good friend. I have learned, where there is one, there is another. Love for one my blind me of the others. I cannot always find friends who are loyal and true, but I can always find another place to hang out.
